Okay, to start things off, I've been playing tennis for about 7 years. I started playing tournaments when I was 9, so technically 6 years but I've held a racket for 7. My first coach was Tom Isaac, and we had so many great memories together. He's a great mental coach and friend and will always be my friend. But when I started getting technical in my game, I needed to go to an academy. So I tried Gorin Tennis Academy in Granite Bay, California. It was great for the first 7 months or so, and then all of the good coaches either left or didn't coach out on the court. So I moved on to meeting my current coach, John Rodrigues. I've been with John for a little more than a year now and things have been going PERFECT. With the help of John, I've become the #1 14 year old in Northern California, received a half-sponsorship from Prince, and a highly improved game since 2007. Out on the court, it's not a matter of drills or how many balls we can hit in an hour and a half, it's about if I can move my feet to the ball, have good shot selection, and hit the proper shot for the situation. John is a great coach and I enjoy having him in my life.
